Resources for Coaches

Responsible Sports Coaching Tip

Expect your players to think. They are not robots. Part of your role is teaching them to think on the field so that they are better thinkers off the field. Asking rather than telling is a good way to get them to think: "What might you have done on that play?". What they say may surprise you.

Want to Coach?

All of MYB Coaches are volunteers and can sign up by creating an account on Coquille Parks and Recreation registration software - Blue Sombrero.  If selected, an MYB officer will contact you to communicate your next steps.

Soccer coaches are managed through the Louisiana Soccer Association's software, Got Soccer. The Recreational Commissioner will send you a link once your account has been created. This software does the background checks and CDC Concussion recognition verifications for us as a part of our affiliation fees. Soccer coaches do not need to complete the links listed above. Here is the link to log in to your Got Soccer account

LSA is a division of U.S. Youth Soccer. US Youth Soccer has a coaches page with plenty of information regarding skills, drills, and training videos to help you get through the season! U. S. Youth Soccer
